"Aircraft in Flight" caught from Space by high resolution satellite sensor
An aircraft in flight was caught from space by a high resolution satellite sensor. The advent of a recent high resolution satellite sensor enabled to observe a new target which was considered to be difficult till now.
This is an IKONOS panchromatic image with the ground resolution of 1m, and you can identify an aircraft flying over the Nile cultivated area located south of Cairo, Egypt. Though we often see a satellite image taken a shot of vapor trail or aircraft staying at the airport, it may be said that this image is an extremely unusual example.
