Images of total eclipse of the Sun observed by weather satellite Himawali
TRIC has been processing data which was received by Tokai university Space Information Center from the weather satellite Himawali. Himawali observed the Earth and the data were processed every day, and this time, we processed images of the total eclipse of the Sun which was observed by Himawali on July 22, 2009.
The solar eclipse is the phenomenon that occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth,and the Moon fully or partially blocks the Sun. At that time,Moon cast shadow on the earth.Here,the shadow was cboserved at around 11:00 JST.
