Digital Cinema - 4K Image Processing Module has been operational at the TRIC

A DCI(Digital Cinema Initiative) compliant 4K Super High Definition (4096x2160 pixels) Imaging Modul mainly aiming for the earth environments education was operational from March 2009 at the TRIC.
The module is composed of haedware accelarated DCI-JPEG2000 encoder, JPEG2000/MPEG2 player, 56 inches 4Kx2K LCD color monitor, and cross-platform file shering RAID strages.
By using this module, and the source files provideds by an image processing software named TIPE(Tokai Image Analysis System Interactive Processing Executive) and image editing softwares, original prodacts of DCI compliant 4K digital cinema can be made at the TRIC. In the fiscal 2009, a total system including a 4K camera device is to be operational.

(3) Cross-platform file sharing on a heterogeneous operating system (Windows-Linux-Mac OS X)
(4) Available for man-machine interactive image processing using a 4Kx2K LCD monitor
